Jacob looked out his bedroom window and grinned when he saw that it was drizzling a bit. Whenever it rained(which was almost everyday, in La Push), small treasures could be found in the forest. The last time he went, he had had uncovered a genuine arrowhead that had been washed clean of the dirt and grime by the harsh rain the night before. He felt like it was a little dumb, but he loved finding things like that. It wasn't much, but he had a small collection in his room. He mounted them on corkboard and hung it up in his room.
"Dad, going out,"Jacob said, grabbing his forest green parka before he opened the door. "Alright, you'll want to be back by lunch, though,"called his dad from the den. Jacob grinned. "Why?"he asked. "I hear from Sam that Emily is making a big picnic for everyone,"said Billy. Jacob could almost hear the grin in his voice. It irritated him that Sam was mentioned. He was definitely not a fan. But he ignored it and laughed. "Alright, Dad,"he said, putting on his parka and leaving the house.
Jacob started walking to the forest part of Forks. The rain started to pick up a bit, so he raised his hood and zipped up his parka. He grinned as he entered under the canopy of the forest.

For once, Esme decided that she would go out and hunt by herself, alone in the forest. She normally never went without at least one family member, but she couldn't help it; she needed a good couple of doe in her -- their blood -- and wasn't going to wait until the kids finished school or for Carlisle to come home from the Hospital. Nothing could go wrong, right? She wasn't headed too far out and didn't need too much blood, just a little.
So she set off outside where it started to rain, she didn't mine this rain very much. Esme inhaled the sent of a deer near by, not so far away from the house and followed it instantly. She stopped at a short distance from the creature, crouched low and hidden. Instincts kicked in and she pounced, grabbing the animal as fast as a lightning bolt and pining it down farther away. The woman sank her teeth into her prey's throat and suddenly her mouth was filling with blood as she drained every last drop. Finally, the struggling animal went still and layer there frozen and limp; it was dead and completely drained. Esme discarded of the corps properly and moved on, licking the red liquid off her lips as her isticts faded away again, thus she became herself again.
An other sent caught her attention as she got a little closer near the La Push border; a human. Of course, she wasn't going to harm them, or anything of the sort, but she seeker them anyways, curious as to whom it may be. Seconds later, Esme found a boy. He had beautiful russet-coloured skin, long black glossy hair and a friendly face. She figured he would be from the La Push reservation, she had never seen him before.

Jacob wandered further into the forest. He lowered his hood, as the canopy of the forest was so dense that only a few droplets of water fell through it every here and there. And he didn't mind water at all, but his dad was always afraid that he would get sick if his head got too wet. Ridiculous... Jacob just didn't get sick! He didn't know why. He must just have a really stong immune system. Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw something sparkle. Now, when something was sparkling in the forest, it could be two things. It was either some sort of 'treasure' or....trash. As he neared it, he recognized it as aluminum foil. "Damn!"he muttered under his breath. He grabbed it and stuck it in his pocket. He'll throw it away later.
It was then that he felt someone staring at him. He straightened up and turned around. To his surprise there was a woman not too far away from him. He hadn't realized that there was anyone around except for himself. But his gaze found the woman. While she appeared to be several years older than him, he couldn't help but notice just how extremely gorgeous she was.
Jacob tucked his long hair behind his ears and waved over to her. "Hey!"he said, a friendly smile breaking out across his face.

Esme smiled at the strange boy, returning his friendliness. The boy seemed harmless, he wasn't a vampire and not a werewollf -- at least not yet -- so she only had to caution the fact that he had blood in his body. "Hello." She greeted him back politely. She looked around, she had to avoid some spots in the area because of the little sun. Looking back at the boy, she put back on a smile.
"What on Earth is a young man such as yourself doing out here?" Esme asked.

Whoever this woman was, she was certainly friendly enough. She had a nice smile and just a friendly air about her. "Picking up trash, apparently,"he said, showing her yet another piece of trash that he had found lying at a trunk of one of the trees near him. It severely annoyed him that people just let their trash fly anywhere. And of course, he knew that sometimes you could help it. Sometimes the weather or wild animals had something to do with it, but for the most part, it was just people being lazy. "Some people...,"he said, shaking his head, more to himself than to anyone else.
"What about you?"he asked,"What are you doing out here?" The woman standing before him seemed to be the type that was prim and proper and not likely at all to be found outside, especially in a dense forest.

Esme grinned sweetly to the boy; be was doing a good thing -- at least he wasn't destroying the wonderful forest -- by picking up ignorant people's trash and waste they left lying around. "That is very generous of you," She pointed out. "These lovely forests were so much nicer without all the waste." Of course, this had a double meaning to it. Because she had actually been around long enough to see these trees grow, the leaves fall and regrow multiple times, and when there was no trash anywhere in it. But this young man wouldn't understand what she really intended in her phrasing.
What was she doing there? Well hunting, of course. But she couldn't tell a human that, what would he think she was? Perhaps a canable or something of the sort. She was going to have to lie, or was she really? "I walk through the forest quite often, it's relaxing and help clear my thoughts. It's very serene." Esme hadn't told him a lie, this was true. The forest was so green and dense, all kinds of soothing noises could be heard when you walk through it.

Jacob grinned and blushed faintly when he heard the beautiful woman commend him on him picking up the trash that was polluting the forest. "Thanks, but someone's got to do it,"he said, shrugging. He laughed when he heard what sh had said next. "Tell me about it,"he said, nodding,"I thought this might be some kind of arrowhead." He raised the aluminum foil to show what he meant. Sometimes the rain washed away so much dirt that the arrowheads would actually shine when the sun hit them. "Oh, well,"he said, almost to himself,"I'll just have to keep looking."
Jacob stuffed the aluminum foil back into his bag, while he waited for the woman to respond to his question. "Mm-hm, yeah I know what you mean,"he said, nodding. A nice forest walk, or at least a nature walk, always helped him to clear his head. It might not help him solve all of his problems, but it helped him to feel better about the problems that were weighing on his mind. "So, uh, you live around here?"he asked, looking around for something else to pick up.

Esme smiled at the boy as she slightly side-stepped away form a patch of sunlight. "It's nice of you to take it into your own hands, dear." She peped. It was very thoughtful. Esme gave him a nod. "Yes, I do, indeed. How about yourself? Are you from Forks?" The woman replied and returned.
(I'm very sorry about the lack of muse I have at the moment)
