Why was Aries slightly surprised when she walked down the stairs of her new parents large mansion on the edge of a forest? She should have been used to waking up every morning to a cold empty house, she was the only one in it if the maids and stuff had gone all ready. She all ready told them that they didn't have to clean when ever her parents were gone but they still came over to make sure she was ok and make her some food and stuff. Ari usually ate TV dinners and pasta. There were a few times when she was feeling fancy and made something really good only to sit at a large marble table eating it all by her self. She was starting to think i would have been better if she just lived on her own. But it was nice when they finally were home. She just never when that was going to be. She looked out the window and saw that it was all ready late and she checked her cell phone for the time. It was a little after 10:30 but she wanted to go for a walk. She knew she was breaking her probation buts its not like any of the cops in the dinky little town would even notice her.
She tugged on black skinny jeans and a short sleeved black and white stripped shirt and some converse. She ran a hand through her straight dark brown hair and walked out the door and jammed her hands in her pockets. She wasn't exactly sure where she wanted to go, she just knew she wanted to go for a walk. She started heading down towards the school area, it only took her a little while to walk there because she walked pretty fast when she was spacing out. She wrapped her arms around her stomach a little and let some tears fall down her cold pale soft cheeks. She didn't know why she was crying but she did it a lot. Some times it made her feel better, she rembered Doctor Carlisle telling her it was better to cry then slit her wrists open and bleed all over the place. She slightly agreed with him, it was less messy.
She looked up as she heard some rustling leaves and noticed a small group of kids standing under one of the street lights by the school and she rolled her eyes. This so was not happening. It was the only group of kids that she had come to hate at the school, every one else was pretty cool and she had no friends but these guys just got on her nerves and they were always bugging her. One of them walked up to her and shoved her shoulder so she was looking at him. Aw is the little orphan baby crying and abandoned again? Aries rolled her eyes and shrugged out of his grip attempting to walk away. She felt a hand on her shoulder and she clenched her fists. That was all she needed to snap. She turned around and kneed him in the groin so he was on the ground. "Don't fucking touch me." She was going to leave it at that but all her built up anger exploded and she swung her fist at his face. Within seconds she had tackled him to the ground and they were both throwing punches. She knew she should have stopped when she heard sirens because she was on probation and this was going to bust her if she got caught but she didnt want to stop. She hated this stupid town.

c h a r l i e william * i see your dirty face, high behind your collar. what is done in vain, truth is hard to swallow. so you pray to god, to justify the way you live a lie. live a lie, live a lie. and you take your time, and you do your crime. well you made your bed, i’m in mine . Charlie was out in his cruiser, now he wasn't exactly in uniform but that was because he was off duty. He'd been off duty for about four hours now, but for whatever reason he hadn't been able to sleep. He'd decided instead to throw on his clothes and go out in his cruiser. He'd "patrol" for lack of a better word. His daughter wasn't at home anymore, and well it was hard for him to sleep. Bella was with the Cullen's now. He didn't even want to dwell on this thought, though he realized now that the thoughts of Bella were stubbornly not going anywhere. He had given up when she'd said that she'd wanted her space. She was tired of being in Forks, just like her mother had been. The only way that she would stay would be if she was staying with Edward, and his family. Charlie knew she hadn't meant to hurt him, Bella loved him, but she had anyway. It stung just as much as her mother's leaving had all those years ago.
Charlie ran his rough, large hand over his stubble covered face before he shook his thoughts away. He had to concentrate, he was driving after all. He realized that he was down by the school, and he gave a small shake of his head. He hadn't even meant to end up here. He was turning the steering wheel to leave and go in the other direction when he saw it. Kids near the school fighting. Charlie immediately hit the sirens and hit the gas before speeding into the direction of the kids. As he got closer he could see that it was a group of boys mostly. The two on the ground though, he couldn't really tell. Charlie, his night stick in hand pushed his car door open before practically jumping out to break up the fight. Most of the kids scattered but the two fighting hadn't just yet managed it.
He took the boy by his shirt collar and yanked him up from the other person. Charlie almost dropped the boy when he saw that a girl lay on the ground. She had taken a few hits, he could tell already, but so had the boy. He turned to the kid, forced him to the car before pushing him against the hood. Charlie's foot hit the boy's ankles as he forced him to spread his legs, he forced the boy's arms apart and made sure that they were pressed firmly against the hood. "Don't move a muscle," he said, his voice gruff with clear anger. He whispered a few choice words under his breathe before he walked over to the girl. Charlie moved down and took her hand. He wasn't sure that he recognized the girl, and that was odd. He knew everyone in Forks, it was his job after all. He took a moment before some realization hit him. The Monroe kid. His mind ran over what he remembered of her. Besides a few major medical problems she also had issues with law enforcement. She had a record, and she was on probation.
"Miss Monroe," he said his voice agitated. He had hoped that he wouldn't have to deal with her. Not because she was come great problem, but because he... felt bad for her. She was dieing, or at least he assumed so from what he'd read. He couldn't really understand all the terms used, but he did get the basic idea. She had terminal cancer. He shook these thoughts off. He couldn't let personal feelings interfere with his job. She was on probation, she wasn't supposed to be out so late, and she certainly wasn't supposed to be fighting. With boys no less. "I think you need to come with me," he tried not to be too rough with the girl, but she had violated probation and he had to make it clear that she wasn't going to get away with it. For a moment as he looked at the young girl, he saw a flash of his own daughter and he almost audibly cursed. He couldn't do things like that, it made it all harder.

Aries could feel her adrenaline pumping through her veins and she wanted to end this stupid guys life. When she fought she didn't stop until she was the only one coming out of it. She would leave the other guy dead if she had to, but then she would be in a lot more shit then she all ready was. It was a tiny town, no one would call the police station, besides if they did no one would probably even bother to come out. At least she hoped no one did, even in a small town if she got arrested or something she was screwed. Her parents weren't home to go bail her out if she got stuck in jail for the night and they would probably call her probation officer who all ready wanted to send her to a behavior/rehab camp. That would suck, he wanted to wait until she got in trouble a few more times, and then he had to wait till she was in remission from her cancer so she would actually be able to go do something like that. It was still a bad idea. She was giving up and she didn't care if she got in trouble any more. Nothing was going right for her.
She felt the boy get grabbed up from her and she almost lunged after him till she realized that it was an officer. She used her sleeve to wipe some of the blood under her nose off. She could tell her nose was bleeding, her cheek stung with a few cuts and her stomach was killing her, it had taken most of the punches. It almost hurt to move. But she was used to taking punches, wither it be from fights or from when she got put into the wrong family with a temperamental dad. She would bounce back and no matter what she wouldn't let pain get to her. She had always felt it so it didn't matter. She rolled her eyes a bit when he said her name, she shouldn't have been surprised that he knew it. She figured half the police stations across the United States knew about her from dealing with her or from being warned in case she showed up. Aries couldn't help but smirk a bit when he shoved the guy against the hood of the car. She still couldn't tell who started the fight. He wouldn't leave her alone but she threw the first punch.
Aries sighed as he spoke again and she shrugged. She had done this to many times for her liking. She pulled her hand out of his grip to place her wrists behind her back waiting for him to cuff her if he was going to. "You got lucky." She glared at the guy as she walked by and leaned up against the cruiser. She was waiting for him to do the usual crap, it was like a routine for her now. She didn't have anything on her except some razor blades in her wallet in her back pocket. Her sleeves were pushed up so the cuts and scars that laced up her arms were probably visible. Usually she hid them but she didn't have time to roll her sleeves back down after the fight. She could feel the blood still coming out of her nose and she spit some onto the ground away from Charlie and the cruiser. "Lets just get this over with." She looked down at her dirty converse as she waited for him to do something. She wondered how this was going to go down, it was almost different in every state.

c h a r l i e william * i see your dirty face, high behind your collar. what is done in vain, truth is hard to swallow. so you pray to god, to justify the way you live a lie. live a lie, live a lie. and you take your time, and you do your crime. well you made your bed, i’m in mine . As Charlie watched the girl as she stood. It was weird but she seemed so resigned. Was this routine for her? Being arrested? He shook his head slightly. She'd moved her hands around her back and crossed them as if she were waiting to be cuffed. He knew that he probably should, but it was hard to make himself even think it. She was so small, so incredibly small. That punk had beaten up a girl (and had been beaten as well), and Charlie had to admit that he was more angry at him. It was definitely wrong to be biased like this, but he couldn't help it. He moved to the boy and grabbed the collar of his shirt again before jerking him back so that he could see him. He knew the boy, his grandfather was a former deputy. Charlie couldn't help but smirk a bit, this boy would be in serious trouble. He moved to the left side of his car and put the boy in the back. "If I were you, I'd keep my mouth shut," the man advised. He wasn't officially arresting him, as he didn't have the entire story. He wanted to talk to the girl first.
When he moved back to the other side of the car where she leaned against the front he lifted a hand and touched onto her shoulder before letting his hand drop back down by his side. "I'm not arresting you... Not yet at least," he lifted his hand again and sat it on his gun holster as he looked over at the young girl. "I'm taking you both home. But first I want to know what happened here. Did he attack you?" Charlie was the Chief of Police here in Forks, and he was a law abiding man, but he didn't think that it was fitting that he arrest either of them. If it turned out that he attacked her, and she wanted to press charges then of course he would. But she was the one in serious trouble here, she was on probation. If she didn't press charges, he could take her home and at least try to forget this. He knew that this wasn't really right, but he didn't think that he could really arrest this girl.
Charlie Swan was a practical man. He knew when he could do something, and when he couldn't. He knew what was right, and what was wrong. He had a pretty clear, and straight forward way of thinking. He was a man with conviction, and with a sense of seriousness. He was grounded, and easy going when it came to most things. He took his job seriously, and he was a hard worker. He stuck to what he knew, and wasn't really one for change. And he knew that this girl had a lot in life that had gone wrong. Her previous foster families, and her "condition," for lack of a better word. She did a few things here and there that weren't exactly law abiding, but she wasn't some delinquent. Or at least that was what he'd convinced himself of. She was misunderstood, and she had a lot of weight on her shoulders. She just needed help. And locking her up for some scuffle in the streets, after hours wasn't going to be that help.

Aries watched as he put the boy in the back of the police car and she was a bit surprised when she didn't feel the cold clasp of the hand cuffs or the tightening of a plastic zip tie. She bit her lip and tugged her sleeves down and fixed her self up a little bit. She reached into her back pocket and pulled out the black bandanna that was hanging down and used it to dab under her nose around around some other bleeding spots. She was always prepared to fix her self up. She leaned back against the hood a little so she was sitting on the edge of it knowing that she wouldn't hurt it, she only weighed like 97 pounds any ways. But she was short so she didn't look like skin and bones. Chemo just made her sick and skinny and it was making her more grumpy and depressed then she was before, which in her opinion was hard to do because she was always pissed and depressed.
She rested a hand on her stomach where she could all ready feel a bruise forming, she was going to hurt in the morning. When he said he was taking her home it surprised her. But she didn't really want to go home, to be perfectly honest she rather spend the night locked up in a cell around other officers instead of sitting in a huge empty house by her self because her adopted parents weren't ever even in the state. She was used to being alone though, ever since her parents died she spent most of her time alone. "No. It was my fault I threw the first punch. I got mad cause he wouldn't leave me alone. And he called me an abandon orphan baby so I kneed him in the groin and beat him up." She wasn't sorry about any of it. So she didn't feel bad saying the truth, this was actually a fight she was more then willing to get in trouble for because it was worth it. Plus this police officer was kind of cute, she had seen a lot of officers in the past 2 years but this one was definatly good looking. It almost made her pale delicate cheeks fill with a blush but she fought it back.
"Hes lucky you showed up." She smirked a little and tucked some hair behind her ear with her shaky hands. She still had adrenaline pumping threw her vains and she wanted nothing more then to finish the guy off. When she got into fights she usually didn't stop until the person was knocked out or some one was pulling her off the person. In this case the officer had pulled him off Aries, she usually was the one getting pulled off. She was weak, maybe she was loosing her touch. She knew she needed to stop fighting, she needed to just focus on school and the stuff that she liked to do like her music. But she didn't know why she couldn't focus on anything any more, her mind was just wondering, but things had been a bit better since she met Edward Cullen. There was something about him that just made her smile, she didnt know what it was but it was nice.

c h a r l i e william * i see your dirty face, high behind your collar. what is done in vain, truth is hard to swallow. so you pray to god, to justify the way you live a lie. live a lie, live a lie. and you take your time, and you do your crime. well you made your bed, i’m in mine . Charlie was surprised at this girl. He knew of her condition, and he had thought before she would be so totally different because of it. She was different, but not in the way that he'd expected it. She seemed tough, and yet at the same time most definitely not. She was so small, and so seemingly fragile. And yet she was harder than she looked, and that was made obvious by her clear disregard for the fact that she'd just gotten into a fight. She acted now as if it had been almost nothing to her. She hadn't been at risk, for she had nothing to loose. Or at least that was his theory. She wouldn't act the way that she acted if it weren't for the fact that she thought she had nothing left to lose. That thought to him, well it was sad. He didn't like to think that she felt that way. He wanted to find a way to make it so that she wouldn't feel that way, but what could he do? He wasn't good at expressing his own feelings or dealing with them, how was he to help her with hers?
"You started it?" he asked skeptically, and yet at the same time he could believe her. He did in fact believe her, when he thought about it. He felt as if he was in a bit of a bind. He knew that he probably should take her in, and yet he still felt as if he couldn't. Would she be able to take anymore pain? He didn't figure that she could, and taking her to the police station would probably not help at all. He shook his head slightly and ran his rough hand over his face. The stubble on his chin scratched lightly at his palm, before he opened his eyes and took in her small form. "Are your parents home? I don't think that I should be leaving you alone," he said, his clear blue eyes looking into her much darker ones. He would feel like one of the worst men in the world if he stood by and let her continue down the path she had chosen. He would feel like a coward if he left her alone.
"I'll be taking him," he pointed over his shoulder with his thumb at the boy in the back seat of his cruiser, "home first. And then I will have to decide what I'm going to do with you," he told her. If he wasn't taking her back to the police station, and if she didn't have anyone at her own home then he had to find something to do with the poor girl. Was there anyone that he could take her to? Surely he couldn't take her back to his own home, because wouldn't that be improper? She didn't even know him. How could he even think of taking care of another child when he'd failed so miserably with his own? And if he did have to bring her back to his own home, how long would it be until he could take her back to her own family? He moved to lean against the side of the hood on his cruiser before crossing his arms over his chest as he waited to listen her reply.
