It was a Saturday, so as usual Rosie stayed up as late as her body would let her the night before. It was a habit that she had gotten into a couple of years ago. Well, if she had no reason to get up in the morning, why should she get to bed at a decent hour? That was the way she thought, but the downside was thta she was incredibly tired the next day, like today.
As Rosie woke up, she was way tired, but she was in the mood for shopping. She felt like she was almost in a daze, but the fact that she was going shopping that day was too exciting! She got up out of bed and dressed in a cute outfit, as usual. Honestly, she wasn't too hungry for breakfast, burt she had to have something, otherwise her dad would completley freak out! So, on her way out the door, she grabbed an apple from the basket.
Rosie grabbed her purse and started to walk into town. She lived close enough to town that she could walk. It was drizzling a bit, so she pulled her umbrella out of her purse and opened it. There weren't a whole lot of places to shop in La Push, but they had a few little boutiques and Rosie always found something cute there. She got to the town square and started looking around for a place to shop.

RING! The alarm clock went off, the faintest rays of light were peeking in through the closed blinds over hanging the bed. Mallory awoke with a yawn, her dark chocolate hair messed up and hanging in her eyes. She peered over at the clock, 10:34, she hit the snooze button and was about to fall back asleep when she heard the sound of fluttering wings, "SQUAWK! Wake up! Wake Up!" She looked up to see her father's pet parrot, Squeak, was what they all called him though Mal thought that was a mouses name.
She took a swing at the bird but it flew off, "Stupid bird." She said, the words muffled against her pillow. She found it impossible to go back to sleep so she woke up, took a long shower and got dressed in her usual attire, though she did notice that most of her shirts didn't fit anymore. She ran downstairs and ate a bowl of cereal, "Morning Mal-Mal." Her dad said as he walked down the stairs, her father was a tall man with dark hair and tan skin. He looked like the perfect image of an Quiluete, while she was slightly tanned but a bit paler then her father. Her father had nicknamed her, 'Mal-Mal' when she had been little. A lot of her friends called her that, "Morning Dad." She said as she began to wash the dishes,
"So what's special occasion?" He asked, staring at her clothing, she normally never got up out of bed during the weekends, much less get dressed. "Nothing your Bird just woke me up.... again. But anyways I'm probably going to go shopping" She said as the bird chirped at her from his cage, her dad always had the cage door open so the bird went in and out as he pleased. "Sorry honey, I'll remember to shut the cage door tonight. So shopping? That doesn't sound like you." He said poking her in the ribs playfully, "I'm not twelve anymore, I've actually gotten to were I can enjoy shopping!"
She picked up her purse and made sure she had money, she was glad to see she had around hundred and fifty in her wallet. "Alright I guess I'll see you later then." Mal gave her father a quick kiss on the cheek, as she stepped out of the house he suddenly remembered something, "Oh! And don't get into anymore fights, Officer Swan said he didn't want you beating up another kid." She laughed, "I can't promise anything!" She was close enough to the town to walk there, and when she got there she took a look at all the little shops around her. Although small La Plush had some good places in it.

Rosie got her ipod out and turned it on. She stuck the earphones in her ears and grinned when she heard the song that had come on. It was The Killers' 'Mr. Brightside.' She knew that it was sort of about some bad stuff, but she liked it anyway. She grinned and close her eyes, starting to dance to it in the rain, which was starting to come down harder. There wasn't a whole lot of people out today, so she didn't have to feel embarassed about her nerdy dancing.
Rosie stopped dancing, though, when she almost ran into someone on the sidewalk. "Oh, sorry!"she said,"I almost ran into you!" She put out her empty hand to steady herself. "Here!"she said, getting close to the girl so that she could share her umbrella. "Nice day for shopping, huh?"she asked, as she lead the way to the nearest boutique.

Mallory jumped as the girl nearly ran into her, she just managed to dodge out of the way, she heard the girl's apology and had to duck slightly because she was a bit taller then the other girl, maybe by a few inches or so. She followed the girl to the nearest shop and smiled politely, "Oh, it's Okay... I'm Mallory by the way, you can call me Mal, though, that's what everyone calls me." Mal was a girl you could get along easily with, at least if you don't annoy her then she was your nightmare.
She peered into the sky, there were now dark clouds and the sun was no where to be found. The rain was coming down quite hard, but there was no sign of lightning or thunder, though. She was still getting used to the strange weather of Washington, since she was still a bit new to La Plush, since she had moved away from her mother and step-father... and her step brother. She felt the anger rise in her chest. But she knocked it out of her thoughts, she looked back at the other girl, the young woman wasn't the tallest person Mal had ever seen but she made up for it, she was quite pretty, in Mal's eyes.
Mallory doesn't think of herself as 'pretty' maybe 'likable' but not Beautiful. She's average in height, though her Doctor said she is probably going to be about 5' 9" or more at the rate she is growing at. Plus her father is quite tall as well, but anyways, she has dark chocolate hair, nothing really special, brown eyes that are just regular dark brown eyes, and slightly tanned skin. She was always told she looked like her father in physique but her mother in the face.

Rosie grinned at the girl. "It's nice to meet you, Mal,"she said, grinning at her. "I'm Rosemary, but everyone calls me Rosie,"she said, omitting some of the nicknames that she had been called before. People sometimes called her Rose or Mary, and while she thought those names were very pretty, she thought that names were a bit stuffy for her personality. Rosie just seemed to fit her perfectly. She twirled her umbrella and watched the rain droplets spin off in all kinds of different directions. She giggled at the sight, but then stopped, afraid that she might be coming off as a bimbo.
"Ooh! This place looks cute!"Rosie said, stopping in front of a very cute boutique that seemed to have just the kinds of things that was in Rosie's taste. "Is this ok, Mal?"she asked, as she lead the way into the store. "Hello, Rosemary!"called the lady behind the counter. Resisting the urge to roll her eyes, Rosie smiled at her and said,"Hello, Mrs. Montgomery!"
Rosie started wandering around the store itching to buy something. "So...I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you new?"she asked. OOC: SOOOO sorry this took so long! My muse has been MIA

The girl seemed to be well known here, and Mallory had to admit that she felt a bit out of place. But she was just happy to be away from the demon with wings (A.K.A Squeak the bird) "I'm pretty new, I just moved from Montana." She said with a small smile, and so not to be rude, decided to walk around and stared out some of the well crafted jewerly, she soon realized what she was wearing. Almost all black with a Joker purse...
But how could anyone hate the Joker? In her mind the Joker was the best character in all of Batman. He was so funny and evil, which sounded like her when she was hyper on sugar. The thought of a sugar-high made her smile softly to herself. She remebered all of her friends had thrown her a party a few days before she had left, there had been any and every kind of candy you could imagine. One of her friends family was pretty wealthy so Mal was pretty sure they had bought everything for the party.
But back to the point she had been high (Or 'Sugar Drunk' as her friends called it) on sugar for almost the time, they had stayed up all night drinking Soda and eating chips and candy, it would have been the best night of her life if it hadn't been her going away party. Strangly she had gotten the Joker purse from her friends that night, they had set it up by them all watching 'The Dark Knight' and they all would scream 'OMG' everyime the Joker appeared.

Rosie felt herself blushing. Mrs. Montgomery was a nice enough person, but sometimes it was just a bit embarassing that almost every single shop keeper on the square knew her on almost a first name basis. What exactly did that say about her? She looked at Mal out of the corner of her eye and smiled at her. Hopefully, she wouldn't think that she was just some bimbo that went shopping every chance she had. "Oh, wow!"she said, looking back at Mal as she wandered around the store,"That's cool, what's it like up there?" Rosie had never really been out of Washington. But...she really had no desire to leave her home that she had been living in for sixteen years.
As Rosie was the on that was closest t the check out counter, she saw the look that Mrs. Montgomery was giving Mal. It was true that not many people in La Push, for the most part, were not quite as unique as Mal was, but Rosie liked to think that they were a pretty acceptig people. "Stop that, Mrs. Montgomery,"she scolded her. She definitely felt odd scolding the old woman. Usually it was the other way around. "She's knew around here,"she said, leaning in, closer to the old woman.
Rosie turned back around and for the first time in meeting Mallory, she noticed her Joker purse. "Oh my gosh!"she said, happily, walking over to Mal. "That's so cool!"she said, reaching out for her purse, but not touching it. "Where did you get that?"she asked, excited.
